I'm even better tonight than I was last night.

I tell you what, if I ever have a hand hold up, I might be the best poker player in the universe. I had my big pocket pairs cracked so many times this week that I'm thinking about folding them preflop. I've had sets and straights whacked by miniscule-out-silliness over and over. Here's a lovely sample.

beware the feral cow packs. they hunger.
Full Tilt No-Limit Hold'em $0.05/$0.10 - 6 players

UTG: $10.00
UTG+1: $14.99
CO: $13.87 (Hero)
Button: $6.15
SB: $9.40
BB: $18.50

Preflop: ($0.15) Hero is CO with (6 players)
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.30, 2 folds, BB calls $0.20

Flop: ($0.65) (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $0.30, BB calls $0.30
Hey flopped straight with a flush (and straight flush) redraw. That's a good hand.

Turn: ($1.25) (2 players)
Don't like the club 6, now anybody with a 7 has taken the lead. Still, what's the chance he has a seven?

BB checks, Hero bets $0.60, BB raises to $1.20,
You gotta be fucking kidding me.

Hero calls $0.60
Well, I've got a redraw, plus he might be raising a set or silly two-pair. I'll be calling a river brick, and shoving a flush.

River: ($3.65) (2 players)
BB bets $2.10, Hero calls $2.10

Hero mucked
BB showed , and won ($7.33) with a straight, Seven high
BB won $7.33
(Rake: $0.52)
Sweet call on flop there, buddy, dead to 2 outs. I wonder how much you pay me off if the 6 of hearts gives you your straight, you son-of-a-so-and-so.

Villain has a double gutter on the flop Matt - they had a good price to call. I think your flop bet was a little light, esp. with the flush for insurance. If you bet pot, against a smart opponent it looks like you have an okay made hand and you want to take it down or kill any draws.

didn't see the dbl gutter, thanks.

Bigger bet size probably a good idea in this situation, though on this hand it probably causes me to lose more money.
